| No night is too long - part 11 (the end)Thu, 08 Jan 2009 05:18:01 -0800 by chitrungchitrungYoung Tim Cornish's life has begun with great promise. Blessed with extraordinary good looks, Tim enjoyed much attention and cared little of broken hearts. At University he was a favored student in a prestigious creative writing course, but a chance meeting, a stolen kiss and a sudden flare of passion sets Tim on a journey of betrayal, heartbreak and murder. In a flashback, he tells his story of cruelty, love and a soul-destroying guilt that offers little chance for redemption. Related: no night is too long | |

| Space Shuttle Challenger/Columbia AccidentsThu, 08 Jan 2009 04:23:20 -0800 by blenk71So Sad, God Bless All Those That Were Affected By These Accidents. RIP Copyright NASA Chrisvalentines.com Mission statistics Mission name STS-51-L Space Shuttle Challenger Crew size 7 Launch pad 39-B Launch date 1986-01-28 16:38:00 UTC Landing Did not land, destroyed shortly after liftoff(1986-02-03 17:12 UTC planned) Mission duration 73 seconds(6 days 34 minutes planned) Number of orbits Failed to achieve orbit(96 planned) Orbital altitude 150 nautical miles (280 km) (planned) The accident caused the death of all seven crew members of the STS-51-L mission.STS-51-L was the twenty-fifth flight of the American Space Shuttle program, which marked the first time a civilian had flown aboard the Space Shuttle. The mission used Space Shuttle Challenger, which lifted off from Launch Complex 39-B on January 28, 1986 from Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The mission ended in disaster following the destruction of Challenger 73 seconds after lift-off because of the failure of an O-ring seal on Challenger's right Solid Rocket Booster (SRB). The failure of the seal allowed a blowtorch-like flare to impinge upon one of two aft SRB attach struts, which eventually failed, freeing the booster to pivot about its remaining attachment points. Subsequently, the forward part of the booster cylinder impacted the external tank (ET) intertank area, leading to a structural failure of the ET?the core structural component of the entire stack. A rapid burning of liberated propellants ensued. With the structural "backbone" of the stack compromised and breaking up, the SRBs flew off on their own, as did the orbiter, rapidly disintegrating due to the overwhelming aerodynamic forces. Evidence found in the remnants of the crew cabin showed that several of the emergency air supplies (PEAPs) carried by the astronauts had been manually activated, suggesting that the forces during breakup of the orbiter were not inherently fatal and that at least some crew members were alive after the craft broke up.Mission statistics Mission name STS-107 Space Shuttle Columbia Crew size 7 Launch pad LC-39A Launch date January 16, 2003 15:39:00 UTC Landing Catastrophic Failure -- Shuttle disintegrated at re-entry on February 1, 2003 at ~13:59:32 UTC Mission duration 15 days 22:20:32 Number of orbits 255 Orbital altitude 307 km Orbital inclination 39.0 degrees Distance traveled 10.6 million km STS-107 was a space shuttle mission by NASA using the Space Shuttle Columbia, launched January 16, 2003. The seven-member crew died on February 1, 2003 when the shuttle disintegrated during re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. The cause of the accident was determined to be a piece of foam that broke off during launch and damaged the thermal protection system components (reinforced carbon-carbon panels and thermal protection tiles) on the leading edge of the left wing of the Shuttle orbiter, causing an extensive heat build-up. During re-entry the damaged wing slowly overheated and came apart, eventually leading to loss of control and total disintegration of the vehicle. | Chrono Trigger DS - MelphyxThu, 08 Jan 2009 03:01:22 -0800 by xXLaplaceXxBe sure to have your character to attack and your healer (Crono and Frog) equipped with Black Vests you can get from the "Mysterous Chests" around the different eras.-----Anyways, be sure that atleast one character in your party has Ice or Ice II, I used Magus for this.If you did the same as me and went for the chests before the battle be sure to Heal since his Earthquakes have probably done some damage to you.As soon as the battle starts, swarm his core with normal attacks until it´s destroyed, then Cast Ice II to lower his defenses and then use Crono´s Frenzy Tech, keep doing this while casting Ice II every so often and, of course, use Frog´s Heal when needed. After his Upper Parts gets destroyed go for his Lower Part, but remember his Chomp sucks a pretty big amount of HP.The reason why the Black Vests are needed is to gain some HP from his Dark Spin and Dark Flare Techs of the upper body, that way the battle is somewhat easier.Good luck! | Moon Hoax- "them television fellers" could make things real that weren't!Thu, 08 Jan 2009 00:40:51 -0800 by greenmagoos"President Clinton in his 2004 autobiography, My Life, states (on page 156): "Just a month before, Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong had left their colleague, Michael Collins, aboard spaceship Columbia and walked on the Moon, beating by five months President Kennedy's goal of putting a man on the Moon before the decade was out. The old carpenter asked me if I really believed it happened. I said sure, I saw it on television. He disagreed; he said that he didn't believe it for a minute, that 'them television fellers' could make things look real that weren't. Back then, I thought he was a crank. During my eight years in Washington, I saw some things on TV that made me wonder if he wasn't ahead of his time."moon hoax quindar tones blue screen projections composites bellcom nasa secret project apollo kubrick scotchlite holograms video editing speed change contrast/brightness simulations geology field trips audio masking edit points clockwork orange eyes wide shut chroma key tracked bright objects false lens flares scratches Related: moon hoax quindar tones blue screen projections composites bellcom nasa secret project apollo kubrick scotchlite holograms video editing speed change contrast/brightness simulations geology field trips audio masking edit points clockwork orange eyes wide shut chroma key tracked bright objects false lens flares scratches | |

Jordan accidently calls Denise Ma, and then asks if she can call her that, and she says yes. Denise has to go get her phone so Jordan closes her curtain and lies down. Jessica and Emilia come on the bus and think its empty. They start talking about some plan to get back with Joe and Kevin. When the concert is over, Nick runs to check on Jordan, and she tells him what she heard but he assures her they wont let anything happen, and Jordan admits that she saw herself in Ella because she didnt know what her dad would have done if she hadnt gotten out. Kevin goes to talk to Ella that night since neither of them can sleep. She tells him about how she moved in with her uncle cause her parents couldnt afford a good education for her and her uncle offered to pay for a good school near his house. She tells him that her uncle raped her every day and that her last boyfriend had freaked and she was afraid if she told him he wouldnt like her cause she wasnt pure or whatever. He tells her that she didnt choose it, so not to worry about it, and that he will always love her. Joe goes to see Cassie but she wont talk to him because theres a picture in a magazine of him and Jillian kissing and she thinks hes cheating. She wont let him explain anything. The next day they have a radio interview. Nick and Kevin both reveal that theyre dating Jordan and Ella. Joe explains the whole story of how Jessica and Emilia took the picture of them kissing and it meant nothing and that he really liked another girl and he hoped shed give him another chance. That afternoon, Jordan goes to talk to Joe since it was the first anyone had heard of this mystery girl. He explains to her and then Cassie shows up at the door. Jordan goes to the other room. Cassie tells Joe she heard the interview and she believed him but she couldnt be with him because her sister had said shed ruin whoever the mystery girl was and it would be easy to destroy her. However, Joe wont take that as an answer so he just kisses her. He finally convinces her to at least try and that they wont let Emilia find out, so she agrees to be his girlfriend. Jordan and Nick promises to help him keep it secret. The next morning, Kevin Sr. and Denise come to tell Jordan and Nick that childrens services found her father and hes been in programs to be a better father cause he had said he wanted her back after they told him she was with the Jonas family. Jordan says shes not going even though they tell her she doesnt have a choice. Jordan runs out and Nick runs out after her. | UFO - Arnhem, The Netherlands.Wed, 07 Jan 2009 20:25:28 -0800 by p3945u5I was working at home today around 2:20 AM, and suddenly spotted a very bright orange/red thing in the sky that was moving steady in a 40 degree angle. Please notice that the blue dots are my Christmas lights outside. :) Look for the orange/red/green light. It was pulsating very bright. It was about 8 times the size and brightness of Venus, you could compare it to a flare. Of course I was shocked you see. Quickly opened up my window and grabbed my GE camera and started shooting. I was leaning outside my window so the shaking is due to the camera, not the UFO. The UFO went in a 40 degree angle. It was moving relatively slow, well slow, it crossed the sky in about 30 seconds in such an angle that it could not be a plane. It was VERY silent, non one on the streets. 20 minutes later the whole town was packed under extreme fog. The video ended abruptly due to low batteries (damnit!)Anyway, I was pretty shocked by it. The footage shows some, but when you see it with your two eyes, it's magnificent, and also more orange (looks like the camera shoots its differently) note that I also used a full zoom.Well, I hope you like it. I never saw such thing in my life! I also converted the movie to a couple of thousand HQ TIFF files. If anyone wants them, just send me an email.
