Both Helen Reddy and Barry Manilow had big hits with the song.In 1975 Helen Reddy had a big hit with "Somewhere in the Night" taking it all the way to No. 19 on Billboard's Hot 100. It was her 10th song to chart in the Top 20!!! She would have one more Top 20 hit on the Hot 100 a year later with the 1977 power ballad "You're My World" which shot to No 18 and stayed in the Top 40 for an amazing 12 weeks! To go a step further, the song shot straight to No. 2 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart as well!Barry Manilow did well with the song, too! Barry's version shot to No. 9 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. His version also charted at No. 4 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart.The version posted here is a duet I spliced together of these two magnificent singers sparking off each other and making this an even more rousing version than their two individual versions.
